NAAAP Social Mixer at Half Moon Sports Grill
I was invited as a guest to NAAAP-Phoenix's
December Social Mixer at the Half Moon
Sports Grill in Phoenix. I currently belong to some
other networking groups, and I was looking for a group where
I could meet other Asian Americans, celebrate
our cultures and support each others' businesses.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but as I walked up to the large group of people sitting outside on the patio, I was immediately welcomed with warm smiles, and introductions were quickly made. It wasn't long before I was talking with a few people and settling into the relaxed atmosphere of this fun group of people. I got such a great feeling of energy from the group, I immediately filled out an application to become a member!
Even though the name of the organization specifies Asians, it was apparent that all ethnic backgrounds are welcome to join as members. It's no wonder this is one of the fastest growing associations in the country. If you are searching for a group that isn't the status quo, I encourage you to come to the next mixer and see for yourself.
Did we talk about business? Yes. However, I did get to meet a few people on a personal level, and I think that is essential when referring clients. I had a great time making new friends, and I look forward to the next event!
