Meditation Workshop People call it the “art of letting go.”
Meditation is the search for the consciousness
of our minds and the peaceful solitude within oneself. Life
is full of challenges and constant demands which leads many
of us spiraling into stressful lives and affects the well-being
of our physical and mental health.
Therefore, when NAAAP introduced a workshop
on meditation, I eagerly went with the idea that I needed
a few pointers on how to learn to “let go” of
the negativity and relish in the positive. Taught by our very
own NAAAP member, K.P. Pantoomano, we were
introduced to the art of meditation by learning short exercises
to use in our daily lives. I was pleasantly surprised that
despite my limited knowledge of meditation techniques, the
short exercises K.P. taught us were immediately helpful when
applied to my chaotic daily life.
It is workshops like these that enhance NAAAP’s mission
of providing many outlets and opportunities to enrich ourselves
in our professional and personal
development. It is the warm welcome each time you
walk through the front door, being greeted by smiling faces,
and the exchanges of affable conversation. It is without question
the reason why I continue to be involved with NAAAP; the group’s
integrity and its commitment to continuing the mission of
promoting our culture, professionalism, and well-being.
