Networking Mixer at Zen 32
I just joined NAAAP in February 2007 with my friend Karen
Luu, who was unable to attend the event at Zen
32. I didn't want to attend by myself, so I took my
co-worker, Chris Vaughan, with me. We did not
know what to expect.
The moment we walked into the patio area, we were welcomed with smiling faces. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and receptive everyone was. It was quite a turnout: the patio area was full of people, all of whom were networking.
NAAAP provides a great opportunity, not
only to network with others on a professional level, but also
on a personal level. I felt like I was part of a family. I
was surprised at the diverse group of professionals at the
mixer. Chris and I had such a great time, we closed the place
down, and we were one of the last patrons to leave!
I was so impressed with the mixer that I wanted to be part of the planning committee for future events. I met a couple volunteers during this event, and they filled me in on all the exciting events to come. I'm excited to be a part of an organization that works to bring diverse group of professionals together on all levels.
